What is a Link?
A Link is a temporary space built around something happening at a real place, like a game, a show, a party or a pop-up. Anyone signed in can browse Links and follow along from anywhere.
Why can’t I post in a Link?
To join a Link or post in it, you need to be within three miles of it. Goings checks your approximate location to enforce that, so make sure location is turned on for Goings in iOS Settings. Without location you can still browse and follow along.
How do Moments work?
A Moment is a photo, a short video or a few words for your friends. You can share three a day, and the limit resets at your midnight. Moments leave the Friends tab after 24 hours and stay in your private Archive until you delete them. You can share with all your friends or only your Close Friends.
Who counts as a friend?
Friends are people you follow who follow you back. There are no friend requests.
What are Circles, and how do I join one?
Circles are private group chats for the people you see every week, with your group’s Moments, memories and plans. Open a Circle’s invite link on your iPhone with Goings installed to ask to join. Someone in the Circle will approve you.
How do recap links work?
From Memories you can share a month or a year as a link. Anyone with the link can see your display name, username, avatar, a few counts and up to 24 photos from that period. It never includes captions, comments, friends, event names or locations. Stop sharing from the share screen, and the link stops working.

How do I sign in?
Goings emails you a six-digit code when you sign up or sign in.
Can I have more than one account?
No. Each person may have one account.

How do I delete my account?
Open Settings and choose Delete account. That permanently removes your profile, Moments, photos, videos, the messages you sent and your viewing history, and your uploaded files are deleted from storage. Any shared recap links stop working.
How do I get a copy of my data?
Email [email protected] from the address on your account, and we’ll respond within the time the law requires.
Privacy and safety
Who can see my location?
No one. Your exact location is never shown to anyone. The position your phone sends to join or post is rounded to about 100 meters, and it isn’t added to your profile.
How do I report or block someone?
Open the menu on any profile, Moment or comment and choose Report or Block. You can also report messages and Links. Reports are reviewed by our staff.

How do I turn off a Link’s web page?
If you organize a Link, turn its public page off from the Link’s share screen. A Link’s preview image can stay in other apps’ caches for up to an hour afterward.
How do I turn off the Lock Screen card?
Turn it off in Settings, or remove it for one Link from that Link’s menu.
I think a child under 13 has an account.
